I was also puzzled that the author called for vanilla essential oil, because, well, there's no such thing, it doesn't exist.
If you don't care about that but think the candles are gorgeous, don't expect yours to look like these. The most glaring example is the bayberry candle - the author calls for genuine bayberry wax instead of fragrance and adds no color. The candle pictured is dark red, but natural bayberry wax is pale green, and by following the directions you won't get anything remotely resembling the photo. Also many of the candles are two colors, and the order given for pouring them will give candles with colors in the opposite order and proportion than what's pictured, and the instructions on temperature control of the wax are inadequate to give a smooth join between colors. And there's a gorgeous marbled candle that I would love to know how they did, but the method described won't give you a candle that looks anything like the picture.
This book seems to fit into the category of another pretty craft book that doesn't have good instructions and just ends up disappointing.

Not only did it come pretty much overnight, it was so nicely packaged and wrapped. But the biggest surprise came when I opened the boxes. I have been in the aromatherapy world for a lot of years and have seen my share of bad oils. This company is top notch in everything they do. The oils are very high quality, the labeling is classy. This set had just about everything someone could ask for. Great mixture of all the top 64 oils. Would highly recommend. Also, purchased a 64 oil holder with it, that works great. Thanks! So, when her birthday came around she specifically asked for the Supreme Aromatherapy set to expand her new collection (and obsession). I ordered it in March and everything arrived in perfect condition and was packaged nicely. She really loved the set. All bottles were sealed and came exactly as pictured in the product description. You definitely get your money's worth considering the cost of the oils if you added them up separately. Overall, the Essential Oils are of very good quality, smell fantastic, and have proven to be very useful. The only thing that would help is a recipe guide or list or oils that go well together.

I diluted the fragrance with a cheap version of lavender fragrance that I got from the Dollar Tree. It has a light, very subtle fragrance but nonetheless you really cannot smell much and it enhances the essential oil fragrance nicely. I used five drops of Lemongrass and two drops of Lemon and the fragrance is too strong so I would definitely watch the amount. Right now I am using an electric ceramic fragrance diffuser that I purchased from Wal-mart but I am looking for another one that allows me to control the heat and intensity of the fragrance. I am not disappointed at all and if this is your first time purchasing fragrance oil then this is the one to start with!
