what post preparation oil treatment can improve the odor intensity of the essential oils?

i give up. i've been looking an answer for this on the internet for about an hour. i'm hoping i'd find the answer from a real expert out here. well my homework's about extraction of essential oils. if you have more questions, you can send me an IM, i'll be online..i really REALLY need the answer

If the essential oil is more pure, it should have a higher odor intensity. Thus I would imagine you could distill the oil to remove involatile components that may have coextracted. The other possibility is to blend the oil with a sparingly compatible substance to raise its activity.

Well….you can seperate the different chemicals that make up the natural oil….You could "wash" it with water ….that would sep. out water soluable elements….you could then vacuum distill apart the other elements that have different boiling points….then you could manipulate the structure…

No he is not absolutly correct….you would not distill out the NON-volatile componants….and you are an expert….yeah right.
