We are having a science project as a group and we decided to make perfume. The ingredients we need are water, essential oils and pure grain alcohol. In making perfume,we need the base notes, middle notes and top notes. We already have water but how about the essential oils & pure grain alcohol?
Emily's Oils & Essentials offers perfumers alcohol as well as essential oils. There really is a difference in alcohols…ask any perfumer. I would suggest that you follow a 'recipe' for your first creation, some guidance is important. You can find compositions for floral, oriental, classic…etc.
Creative idea for a science project.
I'm not sure about the essential oils, but pure grain alcohol is marketed as Everclear. Its a type of liquor, so i'm not sure if you would be able to get your hands on it, but as for the essential oils, i'm sure any kind of concentrated scent will work just as long as it smells good.
